You will not be permitted to enter if the name we've provided on our guest list does not match the name on your chosen form of ID. The names must be exact.

No it is separate! We still need you to RSVP once you receive the invitation, please do not include your meal preferences in the email you send to carolineandjim2024@gmail.com as this email is only being used to compose the official guest list for the base.

Once you arrive to Gate 1 there will be a secured sentry booth. All guests must stop at the booth (be sure to dim your lights if traveling through at night). You will be asked to show your ID and they will confirm you are on our guest list. Take your first left, the Officer's Club is on the right.

You can drive onto the base with your own car or a rental car. The Officer's Club has a parking lot, but please do not leave your car overnight as you will not be permitted back on base the day after the wedding.

Short answer is: No. Long answer is: if you Uber/Lyft to the base you will be dropped off at the Gate and expected to walk through the base to the venue (approximately 10 minute walk). No Uber/Lyft is allowed onto base to pick you up.

Yes. Right now we have a room block at the Sonesta Select Hotel in Middletown. There are a limited amount of rooms, and you must book before October 5th! Visit our Travel section for more information.

The ceremony, weather permitting, will take place outside on Dewey Field (ladies—make sure you wear shoes that will be comfortable to walk on grass). The backdrop of the field is the Newport Bridge—the parking lot is located right in front of the field, you should be able to see the pergola with the chairs all set up when you arrive. The reception and cocktail hour are a short walk across the field. The cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor on the Officer’s Club back deck and ballroom. If you are a visual person, visit the travel section to see an illustration of the area.

If you drove yourself on--you will leave in your car. If you chose our shuttle/trolley service there will be a bus that takes you back to the pickup locations (Sonesta Select and the Gateway Visitor's Center) or a bus that takes you Downtown to the After Party! (Be careful to board the right one). Unfortunately you cannot use Uber or Lyft to exit the military base.
